We studied eukaryotic algae in the red-shifted-light Hula Lake via spectral incubations and transcriptomic p rofiling. Photosystem-I adjustments (up-regulated LHCA1 and LHCA4) dominat ed under red and green-lights\, and darkness\, while cryptophyte phycobili proteins increased in red and green-lights. A key chlorophyll biosynthesis enzyme also showed enrichment\, highlighting acclimation to varying light conditions. This community-wide transcriptomic study reveals how algae re program their molecular machinery.
