Tenure Track

The Technion – Israel Institute of Technology is substantially expanding its Faculty of Biology and invites applications for tenure-track faculty appointments. We are seeking applicants who are investigating diverse areas of life sciences with state of the art methodology. The positions will be offered at ranks commensurate with qualifications of the applicants. The positions are highly competitive with regards to startup funds and laboratory space. Applicants must have a Ph. D. or equivalent degree and post-doctoral training and are expected to establish an independent, extramurally funded research program and teach in undergraduate and graduate levels.
We are currently looking to recruit an exceptional scientist whose expertise is in technique development based on state-of-the-art high throughput sequencing methodologies and genome research. The applicant should be an independent investigator leading his/her own research group, but who would also serve as the Academic Director of the Technion Genome Center (TGC). TGC comprises an established team of staff and state-of-the-art equipment (http://tgc.net.technion.ac.il/). Applicants must have extensive experience and an outstanding proven record in this field. The position could be at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, in accordance with candidate qualifications and experience.
