Positions for M.Sc. and Ph.D. students are available.
We use X-ray crystallography to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the function of protein-RNA/DNA complexes from infectious diseases and cancer.
Crystallography is a multidisciplinary approach employing: molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, and biophysics, and include: gene cloning and site directed mutagenesis, protein expression in bacteria and in mammalian cells, protein purification using various chromatography approaches, protein crystallization using high throughput robotics, data collection using X-ray synchrotron at the ESRF in Grenoble, France, and computational data processing for structure determination.
