The lab investigates mechanisms of trafficking of proteins among cellular compartments. Current projects include:
(i) Studies of the cellular compartmentalization of COPI-mediated transport using a novel modification of a system for trafficking synchronization (Boncompain et al, Nat. Methods 9:493-8, 2012)
(ii) Redundancy vs. unique functions of regulators of the Arf1 GTPase cycle
(iii) The regulation of ArfGAP activity by the COPI coat and its role in trafficking
(iv) Role of unique splice isoform of ArfGAP1 that is expressed in the mammalian brain
