תיאור התפקיד:

התפקיד כולל השתלבות בפרויקט העוסק באופן שבו המוח מעבד מידע חושי ומכוון התנהגות, באמצעות דגים חשמליים כמודל מחקרי. העבודה כוללת סיוע בניסויים, למידת שיטות מחקר ועבודה כחלק מצוות המעבדה. בנוסף, נדרשת הגעה קצרה בסופי השבוע ובחגים לצורך האכלה וטיפול בסיסי בדגים.

לא נדרש ניסיון קודם – תינתן הכשרה מלאה ובתשלום.
היקף העבודה: עבודה לפי שעות.

We are looking for outstanding MSc and PhD students to join the Shemer lab at the Technion and investigate new therapeutic strategies for skeletal muscle disorders.

Our research connects AI-guided drug discovery with experimental biology, using patient-derived muscle cells and preclinical disease models to test candidate compounds and uncover their mechanisms of action.

The project is part of an international European consortium and offers the opportunity to work at the interface of muscle biology, human disease, stem-cell models, molecular and cell biology, imaging, and in vivo physiology.

We are looking for curious, highly motivated students who want to take ownership of an ambitious research project and develop into independent scientists.

We study how neuronal networks process information to drive behavior, at the molecular, physiological and computational levels. For that, we investigate mechanisms underlying sensation, decision making, learning and memory in the simple nervous system of C. elegans nematodes. Our research combines mathematical modeling, systems biology, genetics and cutting-edge experimental tools, including optogenetics, advanced microscopy, and microfluidic devices for analysis of behavior and neuronal activity in free-moving animals.

We are looking for highly motivated students with background in biology or exact sciences. Strong background in neuroscience, computational skills or experience in the techniques mentioned above is an advantage.
