Arava’s Lab Project For The Summer

Gene expression regulation at the RNA dimension

Our research focuses on the molecular mechanisms that underlie regulation of gene expression. Specifically, we are interested in steps of mRNA localization and translation regulation which emerge as key for fine-tuning of cellular function. We apply various biochemical, molecular and cellular approaches to reveal how mRNAs are regulated, what are the RNA sequences that are important for regulation, and which proteins are involved.

During the summer project, we invite you to choose one of the following areas :
1. Regulation of mRNA transport in neurons
2. Translation regulation by aminoacyl tRNA synthetases
