Assistant Prof. Dvir Aran Lab Project For The Summer

The Biomedical Data Science Lab aims to combine bio- and clinical informatics and state-of-the-art experimental technologies to promote precision medicine in clinical care. Our research focus is on the development of computational tools to understand cellular heterogeneity in complex tissues using bulk and single-cell gene expression data. We use those tools, together with advanced data science and machine learning methodologies, to study cellular dynamics in the tumor-microenvironment affecting response to immunotherapies.

During the summer project, we invite you to choose one of the following  areas :

1. Using publicly available gene expression to study how treatments for cancer (and other diseases) affect the cellular composition of the tumor/tissue.
2. Analysis of single-cell RNA-seq data to identify cellular components associated with metastases.
