12 October 2021

To the right is a historical photograph of the first Biology building, named The Horace Goldsmith’s General and Industrial Microbiology Building.
(The picture was taken in 1966 near the time the construction of the building was completed at the Technion)

The Department of Biology (before it became a faculty) was founded in October 1971 and is celebrating 50 years of scientific activity this year.

On the occasion of the event, the coming year will be marked by the Jubilee celebrations and will include a series of diverse,  vibrant content events.
The program of events for the Jubilee celebrations will be published soon.

Thank you and congratulations on a successful celebration,

Steering Committee: Tal Rafael, Mia Cohen, Oded Beja, Etty Foyerstat, Fleur Grabois, and Danny Zilberstein
