We are excited to announce the 2026 Summer Research Program in Science and Engineering, taking place at the Technion from July 1–31, 2026.

This program is designed for outstanding and motivated undergraduate students in fields such as Life Sciences, Biology, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Bioinformatics. It is best suited for students who have completed at least two years of their studies.

Selected participants will take part in a month-long research project, working in advanced laboratories under the guidance of leading Technion faculty members. The program offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic academic setting, combining cutting-edge research with a vibrant campus environment.

Watch a recap from one of our previous Summer Research Programs:

Embark on a Remarkable Research Journey in Biology

Throughout the program, you will become an integral part of an active research lab, working closely with a senior graduate student and the lab’s Principal Investigator (PI). You will acquire the skills to plan and conduct experiments, troubleshoot challenges, synthesize data, and actively engage in lab meetings.

Your journey culminates with a brief seminar presentation, showcasing your project’s findings to your peers and faculty members.

This intensive research project is a unique opportunity to propel your academic career, offering academic credits and representing a significant milestone on your academic journey.

Upon acceptance to the program, please verify with your home institution’s administration regarding the recognition and transferability of Technion academic credits. While credits will be awarded upon completion, institutional policies may vary. Please contact us if you encounter any credit recognition issues.

Application Instructions

The Faculty of Biology offers a variety of research fields. To simplify your search for an exciting research project, we have organized these research fields into six main clusters that reflect the Faculty’s research activities. These clusters are designed to help you navigate through the various research opportunities available.

Clicking on any cluster will direct you to a list of related laboratories and faculty members associated with that specific cluster.
We invite you to explore the different clusters and select a project that resonates with your passion and curiosity.
