The Technion, located in Haifa, Israel, is a world-renowned institution celebrated for its excellence in science and technology. Ranked among the top universities globally, it fosters groundbreaking research and innovation.

Biology, as a fundamental science, seeks to uncover the mechanisms and principles governing life. Driven by a deep curiosity, our faculty aims to understand how living systems operate and to apply this knowledge to address biological and medical challenges. Modern biology increasingly focuses on complex, technology-driven systems, studying the interactions within biological networks and analyzing vast datasets at unprecedented resolution.

At the Faculty of Biology, we strive to address pressing challenges in the life sciences, from health to environmental issues. Graduate students are vital contributors to our research, each receiving a scholarship to support their work.

Our students come from diverse backgrounds—spanning life sciences, engineering, physics, and chemistry—and engage in cutting-edge research, advanced coursework, and publish in international scientific journals. Many of our graduates have gone on to hold prominent roles in academia, industry, and public sectors worldwide.

The Faculty of Biology offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. students the chance to work on innovative research across diverse fields, including antibiotic resistance, plant biology, cancer drug development, neurodegenerative diseases, developmental biology, and microbial energy conversion.
